Why Wellness Needs to Feel Personal, Not Perfect
For years, I thought wellness meant discipline, control, and pushing harder. I wasn’t chasing “perfection” in the traditional sense—but I was chasing an ideal. One that made me believe that shrinking my body, eating less, and exercising more would make me feel confident, in control, and at peace with myself.
It didn’t.
Instead, I lost more than weight—I lost my energy, my gut health, my period, my relationship with food, and most importantly, my trust in my own body.
When I look back, I see how much I was forcing my body to fit into an external idea of health, instead of learning to listen to what it actually needed.
Healing Meant Unlearning
When I began my healing journey, it wasn’t about “doing wellness perfectly”—it was about unlearning all the things that disconnected me from my body in the first place.
✨ I stopped restricting and started nourishing.
✨ I stopped punishing my body and started listening to it.
✨ I stopped obsessing over “rules” and focused on what actually made me feel good.
Instead of following external food rules, I started exploring—trying different foods, learning about ingredients, and seeing what felt good for me. I learned about blood sugar balance, gut health, and how food impacts our mood and energy.
I discovered a world of abundance—where eating well felt joyful, nourishing, and freeing, instead of restrictive and punishing.
Finding Wellness on Your Own Terms
What I’ve learned is that true wellness isn’t about rules—it’s about reconnecting with your own body.
Because the truth is:
There is no perfect diet.
No one workout will change everything.
No wellness trend matters if it makes you feel miserable.
Your body already holds so much wisdom—it’s just about learning to listen.
So if you’ve ever felt stuck in an all-or-nothing mindset with health, I see you. I’ve been there. And I want you to know that wellness can feel different—it can feel expansive, intuitive, and aligned with who you are.
✨ What’s one wellness shift that has actually helped you feel good?
